Why Hello, September!

We welcomed September in today with a forty-five degree morning. I made myself a cup of Good Hope Vanilla tea and sat down at the computer before 9am for the first time in ages!

I've sent the four oldest kids back to school and suddenly my schedule seems so much more free. I've been out of the blogging groove for so many months, for so many reasons, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I've still got some of the fall canning and gardening to do, but the chilly morning gave me hope that there is an end in sight and I will get on top of all these projects some day! This year we picked 11 gallons of raspberries and I turned virtually all of them into jam.

raspberries!

We've made leaps and bounds in our laundry room remodeling progress and someday I even hope to get some better pictures uploaded. Every once in a while I get a stroke of genius, and when we were running wires for the new laundry room, I suggested an outlet inside the upper cabinet to use as a charging station. It is already in use.

Now please excuse me while I take advantage of my "free" time until the kids start trickling in from school.

Raspberries, yum!

I like the outlets in the cabinet. Does the cabinet have doors, and will there be things on the shelf? I'm just asking because I was wondering how you will use them if the doors have to be open and you have to move all the stuff from in front of the sockets. And also, huge congrats for all that jam you've made!
Hugs, Flora

yes, there are doors on the cabinet

the way we work the charging cupboard is the adapters of the cell phones get plugged into a power strip that has a switch. When I bring my phone to be charged, I plug the loose end of the cord into my phone and flip the switch. There are a few things in the cupboard but not too many so as to keep access clear to the switch.

I love the fall, I'm so

I love the fall, I'm so excited its finally going to be here.
