Happy Canada Day!
A little-known fact is that Frugaldad is half Canadian. His dad was born and raised in Alberta. When I saw this plate at the thrift store last fall I snatched it right up.
Tonight I was making the rounds in the yard (the first of the red raspberries are ripe!) and I found 2 ripe cherries on the tree we planted last year. There are 2 more cherries on the tree and that is the harvest for the year. Remember back in 2006 I canned tons of cherries and pie filling? I hope that in just a couple more years I have a gazillion cherries off my own tree.

Beautiful cherries! Down in Texas the mockingbirds would have made short work of those beautiful red fruits!
