I committed myself to Spring Top Week back in March and I made a valiant effort. I only completed two tops but I have fabric for more and even have a new pattern traced that I can't wait to sew up!
This green one, I am not so happy about. I had to modify it a ton after the fact to make it modest enough around the neckline, and the fabric is just wonky. But I really like the color. Next time, remind me that I hate sewing thin jersey.
This other one, on the other hand, I am pretty excited about. This is my fourth time to sew this pattern. It is Simplicity 3835. I first made the one blogged here and then I made another, this time modified to be a nursing top. I made an overlay that overlaps the bottom part and makes for really easy nursing access while keeping my tummy and back covered. I was not super excited about how it turned out, despite measuring and adding ease, I still made the nursing overlay about an inch too short. So I never took a picture. Then I made another regular one from a drapey black fabric that I am wearing in the family picture at the bottom of this post. It is a little dressier so I reserve it for church usually. And yesterday I cut out another, this time in a polyester knit that I paid almost nothing for. I elasticized the nursing panel and added a tie at the back and I think it turned out really cute, don't you think?
